The WGA held their closing event on Tuesday, April 21st. We had 84 participants playing in a A/B/C/D format with 1st Place winners of the "Odd/Even with Special Rules" fun game going to: D. Spang, L. McCormick, T. Minarik and J. Mattingly. A delicious three course dinner was served to the ladies plus Donnie and Jeff Oslund and our WGA golf shop liaison, Angela LaVangie in the Tonto Verde clubhouse dining rooms. Our Annual Meeting was held shortly thereafter and the 2014/15 Officers were voted on and elected. They are:

Judy Holm, Treasurer

Karyn Lyle, our now Past President, was thanked and praised for her work at keeping the WGA on track the past year and her efforts toward promoting a fun yet competitive atmosphere for our WGA (18 hole) members to play and enjoy our organization. Under Karyn's leadership, our league swelled to 184 members; the largest number we've had in our 19 year history!
The Meeting was adjourned and so goes another great year of great golf and good friendships in the Tonto Verde Women's Golf Association! Adios to those vacating the Tonto neighborhoods for cooler climates and may you enjoy your golfing experiences elsewhere throughout the summer months. For those "hardy" folks who stick around ... we'll see you on the course, but more likely the cool atmosphere of the 19th Hole! Best wishes to EVERYONE!!!
