Hunger Doesn't Take a Vacation
And Neither Do We
HungerWalk

The summer of 2015 will mark Lakeview Pantry's 45th summer of providing food for today, hope for tomorrow to our neighbors in need.

With affordable housing becoming increasingly scarce in Chicago, a California drought causing produce prices to rise and potential cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program on the horizon, this summer, like many before it, could be a tough one for many in Lakeview.

The good news is there is plenty you can do to make a difference.

A donation in any amount to our Hunger Doesn't Take a Vacation campaign this summer will be matched by a $15,000 gift from The Silver Foundation.

Make a gift today, and watch your email and social media in the coming weeks for more on why we need your help this summer more than ever.

TweetIn Search of Care: Laura's Story

At 70 years old, Laura* relies on Lakeview Pantry to provide her with food that she couldn't otherwise afford. So when she was experiencing difficulty accessing her medical benefits, she turned to people she had learned to trust. Lakeview Pantry's social services team was there to help.
