Lakeview Pantry
Dear Friend,

Because we have experienced an usually long winter, Lakeview Pantry would like to share a few stories to warm your hearts.
Watch this month's video below to see how our Board Member Dan has passed down the tradition of giving to Lakeview Pantry to his two sons, Ben and Jacob.

As you will see in the stories below, this past month we have had a tremendous response from families who want to help the Pantry. Spring is typically a season of change. These families with their multi-generational approach to helping their community, have embodied the Spring-like qualities of hope, growth, and change.

Consider the blossoming season as your time to make a contribution to Lakeview Pantry, brightening the lives of your neighbors in need. Please visit today.

Thank you,

Gary Garland

Community Involvement Update: Three Generations

We recently had three generations of women from one family come in to volunteer together. Kathleen (center) has been a long-time volunteer, and here she is pictured with her daughter and granddaughter! Thanks and great job to Sarah, Kathleen, and Kate.

Community Feature: Seven Star

Recently, our neighbors at Seven Star convenience store decided to close their business, as the owner headed to retirement. The family turned this moment into an opportunity for others: Seven Star donated all remaining food, personal, and household items to Lakeview Pantry.

It took three Pantry staff members over an hour to load all of the donations, and we filled nearly two vans. Thank you Seven Star!

We need your help!

Do you have simple tricks for saving money day-to-day? Lakeview Pantry wants to know.

We are currently compiling a list of money-saving tips for our clients, ourselves, and our community. Please share your ideas with us.

To add your idea, go to our Facebook thread here: or email

Here's one example from our Executive Director Gary Garland: Revisit your local library! Libraries have so much great free things like books, videos, and passes for museums.
