NMTAW EVENTS in WA
Oct. 20-26, 2013

ADVOCATE FOR MASSAGE
What can you do to make an impact for massage?
Port Townsend:
Focus will be on Youth. We know this group of LMPs will ROCK IT like they did last year!

Port Angeles:
The Olympic Peninsula Massage Group will be targeting two sites for MAW; The Local Food Bank and one of the Retirement or Rehabilitation Centers. Plans to have an information table & set up 15 minute complimentary chair massages. Plan to advertise in the local paper with article & photos to alert the public.

Bellingham:
The North Cascade Massage Connections will
have their hands full (no pun intended!). The Whatcom County officials have their staff Health Fair the same week, so the NCMC group will work 2-3 locations. Their strategy; keep it simple!

Cheryl Hockett-Prelle and Ahwren Ayers compiled a NMTAW package, simplified, with everything needed for events at the office or in public. They  recommend all LMPs use yellow balloons, keeping a common theme across the country. Plus, they're colorful, happy and noticeable.

Olympia:
The South Sound Massage Therapists (SSMT) are hoping to gather, collectively unite and raise awareness; grab coffee or cider & walk around the lake. Volunteer opportunities abound at the Saturday Farmer's Market.

ENGAGE   CONNECT   THRIVE

In the October e-news, look forward to a full report from our leaders and volunteers attending the AMTA National Convention in Fort Worth Texas this week. May every participant be inspired..... and desire to inspire others!
