NORTH SHORE TMA COMMUTER NEWS
September 2016

Monthly Raffles at Footprint Power
This summer, the NSTMA increased its presence at Footprint Power, a construction site in Salem. We worked with Bob Ballard, our employee contact there to create a sign that would let Footprint's contractors know more about the NSTMA's programs and services (pictured right is Bob and NSTMA Outreach Manager Al Marrone with the sign). We also host monthly raffles for Footprint Power to further promote our Green to Work incentive program. Nothing we do is cookie cutter-- let us put together a specialized promotional program that works for your company and your colleagues. Contact us today to get started!
Many chances to win in the Clean Air Challenge
Are you up for the Challenge? The Clean Air  Challenge, that is. From September 17th-25th, join commuters across the Commonwealth and log your green commute trips in NuRide. In addition to daily raffle prizes awarded from MassDOT, the North Shore TMA will also be awarding prizes to an employee contact and to the member company with the greatest employee participation.
Member on the Move: Basil Sharpe

Basil Sharpe, a commuter in Beverly biking with his daughter this summer.
We all know that bike commuting in the suburbs isn't easy. That's why we'd like to commend avid cyclist Basil Sharpe, who works at the Cummings Center in Beverly. Basil has been commuting to work via bike and commuter rail for 13 years! He also spoke up when the MBTA announced  changes to its commuter rail schedule last year and he was influential in helping to make those changes more workable for North Shore commuters. Thanks, Basil for your dedication and enthusiasm for green commuting!
MassDOT - Waze Partnership

In June, MassDOT and the California-based navigation app Waze announced a data-sharing partnership. It's called the Waze Connected Citizens Program and its goal is to provide drivers in Massachusetts with more information about traffic, construction, crashes and road closures.
More info in this Boston Business Journal article about the partnership...
