Results of Eastern Bank's "Commute Another Way" Program
From October 19th - December 11th, 18 Eastern Bank employees committed to trying a shared commute two times per week for four weeks in our "Commute Another Way" program there. Of the 18 participants, 14 are newly registered for continued incentive rewards through our Green to Work program.

Transit Parity is now a reality for every commuter
At the end of 2015, Congress passed Commuter Benefit parity for all forms of commutes. Beginning this year (and applying retroactively in 2015), commuters can withhold up to $255/month in pre-tax dollars to fund their commutes to/from work. This applies to all transit and vanpool commuters. Biking commuters can withhold up to $20/month.
Holiday Promotion winner
Congratulations to Craig B. of Eastern Bank for winning our Holiday Promotion. Craig was referred to us by another NSTMA newsletter reader and won a raffle for a gift card! We hope he enjoyed his lunch at Chili's!

North Shore TMA and NuRide - Summary of Accomplishment
Since 2010, the North Shore TMA has partnered with NuRide, a ride-matching database to help our members find carpool and vanpool partners. Since 2011 (the year data first became available), we have been able to compile some pretty impressive statistics. The North Shore TMA boasts 91 active NuRiders who have collectively recorded 29,000 trips, reduced the miles on their cars (VMT) by 469,000, saved $21,000 in gas and reduced the need for 2.8 parking spaces per average week day. Wow!
