Who biked to work, who won a new bike and more...

Bike to Work week was a huge success! During the week of May 11th, 56 commuters from MVTMA member companies biked to work, logging an impressive 1892 miles in the MassCommute Bicycle Challenge (MCBC). Congratulations to Mark Kolenik (pictured right) of Philips. Thanks to his participation in the MCBC, Mark won a brand new Trek Lync 3 commuter bike courtesy of our friends at Colonial Bicycle in Salem, NH.

Updates on the Methuen Rotary Project

The MVTMA is paying close attention to the construction progress at the Methuen Rotary. Earlier this month, crews began implementing the Stage 2B Temporary Traffic Control Plan, which moved I-93 northbound traffic to the east to create a center work zone between I-93 northbound and I-93 southbound. Additionally, work time on I-93 has increased to 12 hours (5:30AM - 5:30PM) on weekdays. For more information about highway and local road lane closures, visit our dedicated Methuen Rotary Construction Project website.

Register you bike with Rejjee

The MVTMA has partnered with Rejjee, a crowd-sourced app for locating lost and found items, particularly stolen bikes. Rejjee is currently providing concierge registration service to all MVTMA members and they're in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign to help get more local police squads on board with their platform. Interested? Join their Rejjee Your Ride biking event in Arlington, MA on August 8th.
