Your Commute: Spotlight on Danvers
|
On April 7th, the North Shore TMA supported MassPIRG and North Shore Community College in their effort to promote the need for more transit options to the Hathorne area of Danvers, which is home to a growing number of diverse businesses, institutions, and residential developments. Hathorne is accessible to Route 1, I-95 and Route 62 but currently, the only way to access it is via car. Andrea Leary, Executive Director of the North Shore TMA noted that the TMA will work with the North Shore Community College to conduct focus groups and surveys during April to get a better understanding of commuting patterns.

NSTMA Members Receive Recognition at the ECO Awards
On March 26th, the NSTMA joined some of its members and many other extraordinary employers across Massachusetts for the 5th Annual Excellence in Commuter Options (ECO) Awards at Fenway Park. It's not everyday that our members get recognized for the great work they do to promote shared commuting options for their employees. Congratulations to Axcelis Technologies, Cell Signaling Technologies, City of Beverly, City of Salem, Cummings Properties, Eastern Bank, Footprint Power and Salem State University for your special recognition!

MassCommute Annual Report
|
The North Shore TMA is a part of a 12-member statewide coalition of transportation organizations called MassCommute. Collectively, these organizations work with both the private and public sectors to provide better transportation options to employees across the Commonwealth. MassCommute had an incredible impact on the number of employees it served, fuel costs it saved and CO2 emissions it reduced in last year. The 2014 MassCommute Annual Report is now available.
