From the Director's Desk
The Catholic Apostolate Center is a 21st century expression of the charism of St. Vincent Pallotti. We are engaged in forming apostles, or as Pope Francis said in Evangelii Gaudium, "missionary disciples."
We are privileged to collaborate with many different Catholic entities throughout the United States and beyond, most recently on various aspects of World Youth Day (WYD), whether digitally, stateside, or in Krakow. Nothing that we do is about us individually or simply about an organization. Our work is done for the community of faith, the Church, by furthering the mission of Jesus Christ, Apostle of the Eternal Father.
In this issue of our newsletter, we invite you to learn more about us and explore our many resources that are designed to form apostles and develop greater collaboration and co-responsibility among all the baptized.
May the charity of Christ urge us on!

Marriage and Family Resources
As the Church prepares to celebrate the Feast of St. Monica on Saturday, the
Catholic Apostolate Center invites you to revisit our Marriage and Family Resource page. St. Monica, patron saint of mothers, was a dedicated woman of faith and prayer. Her constant intercession for her husband, mother-in-law, and son bore fruit in their respective conversions.
This week, the Catholic Apostolate Center celebrates the foundational role of marriage and family in our society. As Pope Francis wrote in his post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation, Amoris Laetitia, "The family is a good which society cannot do without."

Rekindling Charity - Living the Works of Mercy

Listen to Mother Teresa and St. John Paul II speak on love
|
The Catholic Apostolate Center is committed to reviving faith, rekindling charity, and forming apostles. This year as the Church celebrates the Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis invites us to do just that: renew our commitment to our faith, rekindle our charity through works of mercy, and live as apostles, or as he says, missionary disciples.
Mother Teresa's life is a beautiful witness of revived faith and rekindled charity. Rooted in the love of Christ, she lived and breathed the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. In the introductory video above, both she and Pope St. John Paul II remind us that love is fundamental to the human person and to our mission as apostles of Christ. During this Jubilee Year of Mercy, let us renew our commitment to be missionaries of mercy sharing the merciful love of the Father with the world.
As we prepare for the canonization of Mother Teresa, we invite you to learn more about the Jubilee Year of Mercy and the Works of Mercy.

St. Monica
Feast Day: August 27th
" Son, nothing in this world now affords me delight. I do not know what there is now left for me to do or why I am still here, all my hopes in this world being now fulfilled." -St. Monica, after the conversion of her son, St. Augustine St. Monica was a Christian woman married to the pagan Patricius. Of her three children, Augustine, who would later become a Doctor of the Church, is the most famous. He attributes his conversion to her constant and faithful prayers.
