From the Director's Desk
"Seek God and you will find God.
Seek God in all things and you will find God in all things.
Seek God always and you will always find God."
- St. Vincent Pallotti
For some people who read this newsletter, particularly for members of the Union of Catholic Apostolate, the quote above may be very familiar. For others, it may seem to come from a tenet of Ignatian spirituality, "finding God in all things," which is probably where the quote finds its roots. We do know that St. Vincent Pallotti was affected by the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola, whose feast day is today. Assisting people in more deeply seeking God in their lives and finding God in all parts of life is part of our mission of "reviving faith and rekindling charity."
One place where we find God is in and through our relating with one another. We are challenged to live in a spirit of what St. Vincent Pallotti would call "holy cooperation" or what is also called in Pallottine spirituality "collaboration from the beginning." In this form of collaboration, "all those involved in a task proceed in a communal fashion right from the start; together they analyze a situation, they recognize together the need to act, they make decisions together and realize them together" (Together and For One Another, n. 11). This communal form of decision-making and action is based on reflection on the Cenacle or Upper Room experiences found in the Acts of the Apostles. Openness to the work of the Holy Spirit, "seeking and finding God," is central to this type of collaboration. We collaborate from the beginning in all of our relationships as a team here at the Catholic Apostolate Center and with our affiliates.
In this issue of our newsletter, learn about some of our collaborative work with of our affiliates and explore some resources to deepen collaboration among pastoral leaders in the Church. We also invite you to collaborate with us as a contributor to our blog, Ad Infinitum. Share with us and our readers where you find God!
May the charity of Christ urge you on!
In God, the Infinite Love,

Where is God in Your Day?
by Krissy Kirby
(Originally published July 17, 2014)
Who is stressed out? Anxious? Eager? Caught in this dreadful summer heat and growing tired of their daily routine? "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest," says Jesus in our Gospel today from Mt. 11:28-30. Who doesn't like rest? It's summer, we are in Ordinary Time, and it's the middle of the week. I don't know about you, but I could use a little spiritual-pick-me-up! The long days of childish summers spent without a care in the world are gone, and schedules, busyness, and work have taken their place.
Where is God in your day?

Campus Ministry Leadership Institute
The Catholic Apostolate Center was honored to once again co-sponsor, along with Catholic Extension, the Campus Ministry Leadership Institute. The Institute, held each summer, is organized and sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Secretariat of Catholic Education. This year's two sessions, held at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio and St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, were attended by over 250 student leaders, campus ministers, and chaplains from Catholic and secular college campus ministries from across the country. At each session, Catholic Apostolate Center staff members made a presentation about the wide array of resources offered on the Center's website and through social media. Catholic Apostolate Center staff also debuted Empowered Campus Ministry, an online forum and resource center for campus ministry professionals and student leaders.

Feast Day:
July 31
Quote:
"Receive, Lord, all my liberty, my memory, my understanding and my whole will. You have given me all that I have, all that I am, and I surrender all to your divine will, that you dispose of me. Give me only your love and your grace. With this I am rich enough, and I have no more to ask."
