Today marks the beginning of Lent. We now turn our focus to six weeks of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The Church provides us with many beautiful teachings in this Lenten season and we encourage you to learn more about them through our new Lenten Resource page. Complete with many different Lenten reflections, guides to the Sacrament of Penance, the Stations of the Cross and more, we hope that this provides you with a valuable resource for Lent! Be sure to check it out by clicking the "Learn More" link below and share it with your family, friends and colleagues.

Ash Wednesday

"Lent is a fitting time for self-denial;
we would do well to ask ourselves what we can give up in order to help and enrich others by our own poverty.
Let us not forget that real poverty hurts:
no self-denial is real without this dimension of penance.
I distrust a charity that costs nothing and does not hurt."

-Pope Francis in his 2014 Lenten Message

Prayer and Catechesis Resources

Prayer is one of the three pillars that the Church asks us to focus on throughout Lent. We encourage you to visit our special webpage dedicated to resources on Prayer and Catechesis. These include links to the Bible, Divine Office, Catechism of the Catholic Church, many different reflections and the documents from the Second Vatican Council. All of these resources provide great opportunities to dig deeper into your faith this Lent and to make prayer a strong pillar of your Lenten experience.
