From the Director's Desk

Fr. Frank Today the Catholic Apostolate Center celebrates its second anniversary!  On October 17, 2011, the Provincial and Council of the Immaculate Conception Province of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines) officially approved the Center as a ministry of the Province as a new way to actualize the spirituality of St. Vincent Pallotti through  reviving faith, rekindling charity, and forming apostles.

Two years later, the Center is collaborating with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, various archdioceses and dioceses, educational institutions, and several international and national Catholic organizations.  We are developing formative programs for the work of the New Evangelization and offering opportunities for pastoral leaders to deepen their collaboration with one another.  We also serve the needs of the Union of Catholic Apostolate through designing formation materials and apostolic programs.

This ministry would not be possible without the support and encouragement of the Pallottines, the dedication and creativity of our staff and collaborators, the wisdom and effort of our advisors, and the collaboration of our affiliates.  On behalf of the Catholic Apostolate Center, thank you for your support as well.  Please share this ministry with others and feel free to contact us with any ideas that you may have.

May the Charity of Christ urge us on!

In God, the Infinite Love,

Fr. Frank

Maintaining Momentum in the Year of Faith

In the spring of 2013, we launched a webinar series entitled, Maintaining Momentum in the Year of Faith. As one of our most popular webinar series to date, it featured ten ways to live well the Year of Faith, which we have shared in previous newsletters. With the close of this Year of Faith approaching next month, it's worth revisiting this webinar to examine what ways you too can live well your faith!

Wisdom From the Saints

"We are not the sum of our weaknesses and failures;
we are the sum of the Father's love for us and our real capacity to become the image of his son."

A.I.D.G.
By Fr. Frank Donio, S.A.C., Director of the Catholic Apostolate Center
(Published January 3, 2013)

As we arrive at a new year, we offer you a name for the Catholic Apostolate Center blog,
Ad Infinitum. Where does this name come from? At the beginning of this post there are four letters that were at the top of every letter that the Center's patron, St. Vincent Pallotti would write, A.I.D.G.,
Ad Infinitum Dei Gloriam, For the Infinite Glory of God. The letters would remind him and also his readers that all that is done is not for our glory, but for God's. As many will recognize, this usage is an adaptation of
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, For the Greater Glory of God, of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Why Infinite? Because of Pallotti's deep experience of God as Infinite Love, a love which is infinitely communicated to us, and in which we are called to respond.
