Lunch Bunch will be on Saturday, September 3rd.
The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Please join us, on any 1st or 3rd Saturday.

 20's & 30's Group are invited for food, fun and fellowship at the Rectory on Friday, September 16th beginning at 6:00 p.m. The main course and drinks will be provided; each participant is asked to bring a side dish, salad or dessert. The Gabard Building will be open and staffed for nursery and/or childcare. Dinner will be provided for them as well. |

The Stewardship Committee has been meeting and is excited about the upcoming "We Love Christ Church" Stewardship Celebration Dinner. Save the Date - Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at Mathis Auditorium! A nursery and dinner will be provided at the Church for infants and child care from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Valdosta's new bookstore, Book & Table at 120 North Patterson Street, will host a book signing on September 8 for Fr. Peter Ingeman's book, In His Holy Name: A Collection of Sermons. The bookstore will have hardbound and paperbound books available for purchase, and Fr. Ingeman will autograph books during the event. The bookstore owners, Mike and Lai Orenduff, plan to donate the profits from this event to Christ Church's altar guild.
The website for the book has information on how to download a copy of the book without charge, and how to order paperbound and hardbound printed editions at a minimal cost, including any discounts that may be available from the publisher from time to time.

The Stitchers have several projects, including making twiddlemuffs, preemie hats, prayer shawls, and bunnies for the Lunch Bunch children. Each item is blessed and tagged with a prayer, and you are welcome to take one for yourself or someone else. If you would like to know more about twiddlemuffs, need some yarn, or just want to join in the stitching or learn how to knit or crochet, come to the parish hall this Sunday, 4-6 pm. All are welcome!
