In His Holy Name: A Collection of Sermons |
By the Rev. Peter L. Ingeman |
Over the past six months, some friends of Fr. Peter and Happy have been working to collect and edit 152 of Fr. Peter's sermons for publication. The resulting book, In His Holy Name: a Collection of Sermons, is now available. The website for the book, <https://ingemansermons.wordpress.com>, has information on how to download a copy of the book without charge, and how to order paperbound and hardbound printed editions at a minimal cost, including any discounts that may be available from the publisher from time to time. This website also includes links to the PDF file of the entire book, the 152 individual sermons in PDF format, six audio recordings of Fr. Peter preaching at Christ Church in 2006, and a photographic collage of Fr. Peter and Happy. Proceeds from the purchase of the printed books will be donated to the Christ Episcopal Church Altar Guild Fund.

DR Mission Team Reports: 70!
|
70 Scholarships for El Pedregal School
|
The DR missioners are very pleased to report that enough funds for scholarships at the K-8 Episcopal school in El Pedregal were donated that we were able to fund 70 scholarships @ $350/child for the 2016-2017 academic year. We gave the same number for the 2015-2016 year. While the team was in the Dominican Republic in May, they presented a certificate for 50 scholarships to Padre Daniel Samuel, the priest in charge of the school, but after they returned, additional funds came in that moved the total up to $24,500, enough for 70 scholarships. Many, many thanks to all of our generous donors who made this possible. In addition to donors from the Christ Church congregation and friends and family of the missioners, other donors contributed through our partner churches, Nativity (Dothan AL) and Trinity (Statesboro GA).
When Padre Samuel received our message about the final number of donated scholarships, he sent back this reply in English right away:
Thank you my friends, God's blessing forever.
