Youth Sunday will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 during the 10:00 a.m. worship service. Please come and see what our Youth have been working on. The Children's Choir will sing.
End of Year Party to follow the May 22nd Youth Sunday service. All are welcome to help us honor this year's graduates and celebrate the end of another successful year. The Men in Blue will be cooking lunch. We will have a bouncy house, water slide and snow cone machine!
There is a signup sheet in the Parish Hall.

 Wednesday May 25th at 6:30 p.m. we're having a Youth Mission Trip fundraising dinner to help cover the costs involved in the June 19-25 youth mission trip to Florida. The evening will include a delicious dinner along with testimonies and some entertainment. It'll be lots of fun and we hope you will join us!

Mission Trip is May 9-16, 2016

Our 2016 team leaves for El Pedregal on Monday, May 9, and is scheduled to return on Monday, May 16. Eight missioners are on the team:

During the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, May 8, Fr. Dave commissioned our team and blessed several items that we took as gifts for the congregation of the Episcopal church in El Pedregal.
We are very pleased to be bringing a certificate for 50 scholarships for the K-8 Episcopal school in El Pedregal to present to Padre Daniel Samuel, the priest in charge of the Episcopal camp, conference center, school, and church. In addition to our local congregation, contributions have been received from the congregations of Trinity Episcopal Church (Statesboro, GA), Episcopal Church of the Nativity (Dothan, AL), as well as individuals in other cities who support this worthy cause. We hope to add a few more scholarships to that total by July 15, when we traditionally send the funds to the Diocese of the Dominican Republic for use in El Pedregal in the 2016-17 academic year. Donations for scholarships (US$350 per child for one academic year) are always welcome, and they may be sent to Christ Church with the note "DR Fund - Scholarship."

We bid your prayers for the health and welfare of our friends in the Dominican Republic and of our team members, and for the successful completion of our projects. As in previous years our Spring Ingathering for UTO (United Thank Offering) is scheduled for Youth Sunday on May 22nd. Monies collected in your Blue Box over the last several months, for the many blessings you have received can now be turned in.
Envelopes will be provided in that Sundays bulletin, so that people can empty their box prior to the ingathering or just place a check in the envelop for the amount that was in your box, to Christ Episcopal Church noting it to UTO. Collections for Fall Ingathering 2015 were $465.00.
Please note going forward we will only have a Spring Ingathering so additional Blue Boxes are always available in the tower and parish hall.
