DR Go Team Says: Thank You!

| The eight members of our 2016 DR mission team (the Go Team) thank everyone on the Home Team who participated in the DR Dinner & Auction on April 8. With the expenses of the catered dinner deducted, we raised over $13,000 for our team projects and for scholarships at the K-8 Episcopal school in El Pedregal. Photographs from the April 8 event are online as a Facebook album here and a Picasa album here. The next DR event will be the commissioning of the Go Team by Fr. Dave on May 8, and then the team will fly to Santo Domingo on May 9. |

We have formed a search committee to assist Fr. Dave in the search for an Assistant to the Rector. Molly Stevenson is the chair of this committee and other members include Bill Querin, Sheri Gravett, Jeff Worn, Grace Tanner, and Steph Johnson. Ladies Wednesday Night Bible Study

The Wednesday night ladies bible study will continue a study of the book of Hebrews on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. For more information, email Tammy Borders or call 229-560-5889.

Lunch Bunch will be on Saturday, April 16th.
The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Please join us, on any 1st or 3rd Saturday.

Dr. Lavan Robinson Memorial Concert

The Dr. Lavan Robinson Memorial Concert will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016, at Christ Church. The concert will feature guest artists and many musicians from the Zeta Gamma Chapter of PMA Sinfonia. Reception will follow afterwards. Admission is free. All donations will go to the Dr. Lavan Robinson Scholarship Fund. Come and join us for an incredible evening of music, food, drink and fun!

Join the Christ Church Relay for Life Team to help support the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Lowndes High School beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Luminaries are being sold. Donations to support Christ Church team are being accepted.
