Wednesday Evening Lenten Dinner Series
|
Wednesday Evening Lenten Dinner Series "Grace and the Ten Commandments" continues through March 16, from 6:30-7:45. Covering two commandments per week we'll explore how the Gospel intersects with the Ten Commandments and how that applies to our daily lives. Nursery and childcare available.

Lunch Bunch is will be on Saturday, March 5th.
The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank.
Please join us on any 1st or 3rd Saturday.

Second Annual Women's Retreat

Mark your calendars for March 11-12, 2016 there will be a Women's Retreat Weekend held at Christ Church.
- Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. Snacks and Fun
- Saturday, March 12, 2016 beginning at 9 a.m. with light breakfast and coffee. We will have lunch and end with Eucharist at 3 p.m.
What to help lend a hand, contact one of these ladies who have volunteered to organize.

- Lunch: Sallie Honeycutt, Tamara Thomas and Helen Tucker

Donation opportunity to help The Haven. The Haven is always in need of items to help women and children get back on their feet after they have left the shelter. They have to start over from scratch. For the month of March, Kate Hanson will be collecting items for The Haven.
Items that are needed: Personal Care Items, Paper Products, Clothing.
Most needed items are: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper, sheets, towels, women's undergarments, children's undergarments.
A detailed item list can be found in the parish hall. Items can be dropped off at the church office, or contact Kate Hanson.

A Parish Retreat has been planned for Friday, April 22 - Sunday, April 24, 2016. The Retreat will be held at Honey Creek.
- Lodge rooms are $178 for weekend,
- Meal plan is $63 per person (8 and over) for 3 meals on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday.
Please contact the church office if you would like to make a reservation. Checks need to be sent to the church office not Honey Creek (please denote for Parish Retreat). |
| DR Dinner and Auction: April 8 |

Our annual DR dinner and auction to raise funds for our mission trip projects and school scholarships is scheduled for April 8. Information about tickets will be available next week. Our auction committee is looking for items for either the live or silent auctions. If you are willing to donate a weekend retreat, a dinner party or other items, please contact Julia Ariail at 229-559-7329.
