Karen May will take all interested K-5th graders for the first 15 minutes of Sunday School during lent (beginning February 14) and teach them two classic children's Easter songs. Then, during the 10:00 Easter service, the children will perform these songs for the congregation! We would love to see your child there!! For more information, contact Stefani Carroll.

Second Annual Women's Retreat

Mark your calendars for March 11-12, 2016 there will be a Women's Retreat Weekend held at Christ Church. Please note the date change!
- Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. Snacks and Fun
- Saturday, March 12, 2016 beginning at 9 a.m. with light breakfast and coffee. We will have lunch and end with Eucharist at 3 p.m.
There will be a meeting after church on January 24th for anyone interested in helping with the Retreat.

Wednesday Evening Lenten Dinner Series "Grace and the Ten Commandments" will run February 17 through March 16, 6:30-7:45. Covering two commandments per week we'll explore how the Gospel intersects with the Ten Commandments and how that applies to our daily lives.

A Cursillo weekend will be held at Honey Creek February 25-28. Several of our own church members will be participating. Cursillo's mission is equipping Christians for leadership and service to change the world for Christ. Won't you prayerfully consider joining us? For details contact Elise Sandbach.

Second Annual Parish Retreat

A Parish Retreat has been planned for Friday, April 22 - Sunday, April 24, 2016. The Retreat will be held at Honey Creek.
- Lodge rooms are $178 for weekend,
- Meal plan is $63 per person (8 and over) for 3 meals on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday.

Have you always wanted to try a yoga class? (But can't touch your toes...not flexible enough??) All you need is a willing spirit.
Kelly Turner is a 200 RYT instructor who has been teaching regularly for the past six years. Please join her for FREE yoga in the Parish Hall from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m Monday, January 25, 2016. Open to all.
Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and towel (yoga blocks and strap:optional).
As with any exercise regimen, please consult first with your physician .

Dominican Night Dinner- April 8
|
Our annual Dominican Night Dinner and Auction is scheduled for Friday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cotton Corner, 101 N. Ashley Street in downtown Valdosta. Please save the date and plan to attend. If you would like to contribute an item to the silent or live auction, contact Julia Ariail. One hundred tickets will go on sale in March from the church office and committee members. Proceeds will fund the team projects as well as scholarships to the Episcopal school we helped build in 2005-2006. This year's mission trip to the Diocese of the Dominican Republic is scheduled for May 9-16, 2016. The target date to join the team is January 31. If you have been thinking about joining this year's team, please contact Julia or Julius Ariail (229 559-7329) before that date. If you haven't yet considered joining this adventure, please click here for the trip's planning webpage for lots of information, including a new travel health alert from the CDC about the Zika virus. The cost of the flights for this trip are increasing week by week -- currently $494.76, up from $433.60 on December 3, 2015. �Vamonos! Let's go!
