Christ Church Kick-off Party will be held on August 9, 2015 immediately following the 10:00 worship service. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. The Men in Blue will be cooking. There will be fun and games for "Children of All Ages".

If your child(ren) plan to attend Sunday School this year, please send Stefani Carroll an email with your child's name, age, and the school grade they will be attending.

The Soup Kitchen will be closed the week after July 4th. In order to serve those who depend on this ministry for meals, several churches are preparing sack lunches that week. On Tuesday, July 7, Christ Church has committed to preparing 175 lunches and distribute them at the Soup Kitchen location. We need volunteers and supplies. If you can help, please call Sandra Fletcher at 244-5033 or e-mail her. Meals will be distributed between 11 am and 12:30 pm on that day. We will prepare the lunches in the church kitchen earlier that day - sandwiches, chips, fruit and water. You may help prepare the lunches or contribute supplies, or funds to buy supplies.

We are once again working with South Georgia Partnership to end Homelessness to provide school supplies. Christ Church has been asked to provide notebook paper (Wide Rule and College Rule) for the backpacks. We are only in need of notebook paper. Other organizations are collecting certain items as well.
There will be a basket in the Nave of the Sanctuary for the month of July.
If you would rather make a monetary donation to help this cause, please make the checks out to Christ Church and denote that it is for Notebook Paper.

We have received a report from El Pedregal that work is continuing on the two construction projects we shared with our partner Nebraska team. The roof is now on the day care center! We don't have details on the current status of Altagracia's house, but will relay that just as soon as it comes in.
Many, many thanks for all of our Home Team members who made this trip and our projects possible! We could not have done it without you!

Our Junior and Middle School EYC groups are collecting hotel/sample sized toiletries which they will bag and send to The Haven for their clients. There will be a collection bin in the Parish Hall. Thank you so much for helping our youth do God's work in our community!

Team Up for a Cure Golf Tournament

The Fourth Annual "Team Up For a Cure" golf tournament is scheduled for August 28th at Francis Lake Golf Course at 1 p.m. The proceeds for this tournament go to special needs programs in the the local school system as well as Fraxa in hopes of finding treatment for Fragile X Syndrome and Autism. If you would like to enter a team in the tournament, become a hole sponsor, or make a donation please contact Patty or Charlie Cosey @ (229) 292-4944.
