There will be an Open House at the Rectory on Thursday, July 2, 2015 to welcome the Rev. Daniel Shoemake and his family. Open House will start at 6:00 p.m.
Please come to the Open House and help us show our hospitality to the Shoemake Family.

Wednesday Evening Prayer will continue at 6:00 p.m. each Wednesday through the month of July. Phyllis Holland will lead Evening Prayer July 1st.

The Soup Kitchen will be closed the week after July 4th. In order to serve those who depend on this ministry for meals, several churches are preparing sack lunches that week. On Tuesday, July 7, Christ Church has committed to preparing 175 lunches and distribute them at the Soup Kitchen location. We need volunteers and supplies. If you can help, please call Sandra Fletcher at 244-5033 or e-mail her. Meals will be distributed between 11 am and 12:30 pm on that day. We will prepare the lunches in the church kitchen earlier that day - sandwiches, chips, fruit and water. You may help prepare the lunches or contribute supplies, or funds to buy supplies.

We are once again working with South Georgia Partnership to end Homelessness to provide school supplies. Christ Church has been asked to provide notebook paper (Wide Rule and College Rule) for the backpacks. We are only in need of notebook paper. Other organizations are collecting certain items as well.
There will be a basket in the Nave of the Sanctuary for the month of July.
If you would rather make a monetary donation to help this cause, please make the checks out to Christ Church and denote that it is for Notebook Paper.

Flower Guild - vases needed
|
|
Each week our Flower Guild visits and delivers flowers to shut-ins, or members who are sick or in the hospital. The flowers they deliver are from our Sunday Altar arrangement.
The Flower Guild is in need of some medium size vases.
If you would like to donate some medium size vases to the Flower Guild, they can be dropped off at the church office, or brought to church on Sunday morning and placed on the counter in the kitchen. Thank you for your support of this important ministry. |
| D.R. Mission Team Returns |
| Monday, June 22, 2015: Back in the USA |
Eighteen members of the Christ Church DR Mission team arrived back in the United States late Monday, June 22. One team member, Jim Drazdowski, remained in El Pedregal to work with the incoming Nebraska mission team to complete the construction projects our team started. The trip was very successful with construction, sewing and knitting classes and it was capped off with a splash party for 200 children and a festive dinner and fashion show with local church members. An initial set of photos is on Christ Church's Facebook page here, and a more complete set of photos plus a detailed trip report are being prepared.
Many, many thanks for all of our Home Team members who made this trip and the successful completion of our projects possible! We could not have done it without you!

Our Junior and Middle School EYC groups are collecting hotel/sample sized toiletries which they will bag and send to The Haven for their clients. There will be a collection bin in the Parish Hall. Thank you so much for helping our youth do God's work in our community!
