April 16 - Buy your tickets now
|
The Dominican Night Dinner and Auction will be Thursday, April 16 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the Cotton Corner at 101 N. Ashley Street in downtown Valdosta. The primary purpose of the dinner is to raise scholarship funds for the Episcopal K-8 school in the Dominican Republic we helped build. Each scholarship costs $350 for a year's tuition. The secondary purpose is to have fun with our friends and share good food catered by Covingtons. Fr. Dave and Steph will speak about their international mission experiences. There will be 16 live auction items and many silent auction ones. Only 104 tickets will be sold for $25 each. Purchase your tickets by cash or check from Marilyn Miller, Pat Bezona, Jeani Synyard or Julia Ariail. Marilyn Miller will be available at coffee hour this Sunday with tickets.

We have been so blessed by the Gabard's love and generosity to Christ Church. Their estate auction for personal property and real estate will be held in March.
We have been asked to provide volunteers to help with the auction. The auction will be held online, but there will be an open house on Saturday, March 21 from 10 - 4 and on Sunday, March 22 from 2 - 5.
We have been asked to provide volunteers to be in the rooms of the house, cabin and possibly one other location during the open house. The auction company has recommended a minimum of 25 volunteers to cover this.

Blessing in Memorial Garder
|
Dear Christ Church Family,
I am very happy that my parents now have name plates in the Memorial Garden at Christ Episcopal. My mom died in 2008 and my dad died in 2009, and I wanted to have a place for them that was close and a place where they could be around some really nice people.Their names are Dan C. Holliman and Mary Brooks Holliman.
On Thursday, March 19 at 11:30 am, Father Dave is doing a short memorial blessing for their place in the Memorial Garden. I would like to invite you to come for this special event.
Thank you,
Diane Halim
