Advent Wreath-Making Event
Sunday, November 30, 2014 - 11:15 a.m.

Our annual Advent Wreath-Making event is returning to the Sunday School hour (11:15 - 12:00) on the first Sunday of Advent (This will take the place of Sunday School on November 30, 2014). Please come join us as we begin the season of preparation for the birth of our Lord in this traditional, meaningful way. We will have a craft available for younger children, as well.

Please contact the office or sign up in the Parish Hall to let us know that your family is planning on making a wreath so that we have enough materials on hand.

We also need assistance gathering the fresh greenery used in making the wreaths. The traditional, and symbolic greenery used include evergreens (pine, cedar and fir), bay laurel, rosemary, ivy and holly. If you are able to provide any of these, please contact Stefani Carroll.

Advent candles will be available for purchase on this date to complete your wreath. We will also have instructional literature which offers Advent prayers and devotionals to enhance the season for your family.

Work Day in November
Saturday, November 22nd

On November 22nd, volunteers are needed to complete work in the Camellia garden to prepare it for a tour and dedication ceremony.   It would be very helpful to know how many volunteers we can expect.

Please sign up in the parish hall or call Frances Guice or Clinton Beeland.

Planning for the 2015 Mission Trip
Plus new photos from the school in El Peregal

The flight schedule for June is up on the JetBlue page. We can now book our flights at the lowest rate in memory after approval by our leader, Fred Richter. The flight dates, times and other updated information are now on the Planning Page (link below) for our 2015 DR Mission Trip.

 J
ulius and Julia Ariail met with Bishop Holguín in Michigan recently and discussed possible projects for our mission. No decisions were made and Bishop Holguiín asked Julius to gather more information during his mid-November DR trip. We will continue to update the planning page when new information comes available.
