Share the joy of Christmas day with a festive meal in the Parish Hall at mid-day! Wayne Ellerbee is providing the meats for the dinner. Diane Halim is organizing the other details for the event. She will publish more information in the coming week. Look for an email from the church about the time and other arrangements. Meanwhile, please sign up on the list in the Parish Hall or call the church office by December 18, so we can estimate the amount of meat to purchase. The Search Committee met Thursday and will be conducting phone/Skype/facetime interviews with candidates in the coming days. It is important that we make a good impression on them and that they make a good impression on us. Please pray for both sides of these conversations. Pray that God will use the committee to accurately portray the vibrant and loving community of worshippers that is Christ Church and that the candidates will accurately portray who they are and how God can use them here.

Donations for the 2013 tax year must be given to the church no later than 12/31/2013 or mailed to the church in an envelope postmarked no later than 12/31/2013. Any donations made after December 31, 2013 will be posted on 2014 giving sheet.

It is that time of year again. We are accepting donations for poinsettias to decorate the church for Christmas. Donations can be sent to Amy Creasy in the church office, or placed in the offering plate. Please make a note for Christmas Flowers.

Christmas Caroling Adventures and Desserts
|
Join in Christ Church's Christmas Caroling Adventures and Desserts on Thursday, December 19th, at 7:00 p.m. Lovers of carols and caroling should bring a dessert and gather in the parish hall. We will split into groups and go to about three to five homes of elderly or ill Christ Church members and sing carols accompanied by guitars. We will then return to the parish hall to continue singing and enjoying desserts and hot spiced tea. All ages are welcome. There is a sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall. Middle and High School Lock-in: Friday, December 20, 6:30 p.m - 9:00 a.m. Please join us for fun and fellowship. Bring a canned good, overnight bag, games, friends, and the Christmas spirit!!
We need at least 4 additional chaperones for this event. If we don't have enough chaperones, we can't have the Lock-in.
Any donations of drinks (cans or individual bottles, please) and
snacks are greatly appreciated.

Youth Christmas Party: Saturday, December 21, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Youth from PreK3 - 5th grade are invited to join us for cookie decorating, a Christmas craft, games, science experiments, a "snowball" fight, and, of course, the Christmas story!! We will serve pizza for lunch. Please bring a canned good to be given to the elderly in the New Year.
We need volunteers to help us share the spirit of Christmas with our youth.
