The Search Committee met Thursday to discuss plans for the phone/Skype interviews that will take place early in December. We have six applicants (plus one who applied and has already accepted another job). Canon Logue tells us that there will be more before the deadline. Your continued prayer support is very important to this process as it continues.

November 24, 2013 will be our final Sunday to cast ballots for the class of 2016 Vestry Members. All Christ Church members, please stop by the piano, sign the records log and pick up a ballot. Ballots can be dropped in the offering plate, or returned to the basket.

The Community Depot will be conducting its first annual Holiday for Charity Drive. We are accepting donations of gently used Christmas ornaments, toys for children of all ages, and holiday decorations that celebrate the "Reason for the Season". All proceeds from sales benefit the programs and services of the local Humane Society, Easter Seals, and American Red Cross.

We will gather for a Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 28th at noon, lunch will start at 12:30 p.m. Wayne Ellerbee has agreed to provide the meat. We are asking all who plan to attend to bring a thanksgiving side dish. There is a sign-up sheet in the parish hall. Cursillo Sponsorship Workshop
|
There will be a Cursillo Sponsorship Workshop on Saturday, November 23 from 1 to 4 PM in the parish hall. Contact Jim Drazdowski or phone at 300-3027 if you need any further information.
The next Cursillo weekend is March 19-23, 2014. In order to sponsor someone for the weekend you must have attended both a 3-day weekend and a sponsor's workshop.

Christmas Caroling Adventures and Desserts
|
Join in Christ Church's Christmas Caroling Adventures and Desserts on Thursday, December 19th, at 7:00 p.m. Lovers of carols and caroling should bring a dessert and gather in the parish hall. We will split into groups and go to about three to five homes of elderly or ill Christ Church members and sing carols accompanied by guitars. We will then return to the parish hall to continue singing and enjoying desserts and hot spiced tea. All ages are welcome. There is a sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall. Fred Richter, the team leader for the 2014 trip, currently plans to limit the team to 18 people. Previous mission team members who would like to reserve their spot on the 2014 team should contact him as soon as possible to discuss their 2014 participation. New team members are also encouraged to contact Fred to talk about the 2014 team. Please do not purchase flight tickets until you have contacted Fred (his email address and telephone number are on the planning page).
