Thank You Note
To The Men in Blue

Thank you for the very many ways you serve our Christ Church family.

We can always count on you for the very best ribs, chicken, sausage, fried fish, and hush puppies. We know when you are on duty that the cookout will always be something special.

I realize what an important ministry this is. There is so very much more going on there than cooking.

When you gather together it provides an opportunity for the men in our church family to fellowship with each other. This is a great time to get to know each other better and to include newer members or frequent visitors into the fold. There is no telling how many have joined us after experiencing the richness of this fellowship. I am so grateful for all you do and all you and your ministry means to Christ Church.

Sincerely,

Dottie Pitts

Update from the Dominican
Julia and Julius Ariail return from Omaha
Julia and Julius Ariail recently returned from Omaha, Nebraska, where they represented Bishop Benhase and the Diocese of Georgia at the semi-annual board meeting of the Dominican Development Group. The Diocese of Nebraska is one of the Companion Dioceses of the Diocese of the Dominican Republic. While there, they were able to meet with mission team members from St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Omaha, who had just returned from a week of work at the camp in El Pedregal where our own mission teams stay. The St. Andrew's mission team members cleaned and re-painted the kitchen, the dining hall, and the covered walkway at the camp, preparing these areas for use by other mission teams later this year and into 2014.
