Summer Worship Schedule
Beginning May 12, 2013
The Worship Committee has agreed upon a new summer worship schedule.  Beginning May 12, 2013 we will have 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. worship services on Sunday mornings.  Starting June 2, 2013 we will begin a 6:00 p.m. Holy Eucharist Sunday evening followed by a cookout. You can read Rev. Cantrell's letter here.

The Christ Church Softball Team games have begun.  Below is a schedule of their remaining game dates and times. All games are played at Freedom Park on Tuesday or Thursday evening.  Please come out and support your Christ Church Softball Team.

Bowl for Literacy
April 27, 2013 - 12:00 noon
The Literacy Volunteer Program is having a Bowl for Literacy day, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 12:00 noon (bowling to start at 1 PM), at Jac's Lanes. Christ Church is looking for a few people to help round out a 5-person team. If you are interested in bowling to help support Literacy, please contact Alison Downey or call her at

Relay for Life
May 3 - 4: Valdosta Middle School
Thank You to everyone who participated and helped with the Car Wash, and Bake Sale to support Relay-for-Life. The Youth raised over $1100.

There is a sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall if you would like to come out to Valdosta Middle School on Friday, May 3 and walk for an hour.

 *** We would like to honor our Christ Church family cancer survivors during Relay for Life. Please contact Molly or Kim   with names and number of survivor years. *** 

Search Committee 

The Search Committee met yesterday to begin organizing the Parish Profile.  We will meet next Wednesday evening with Canon of the Ordinary Frank Logue to review the results of the survey and discuss how to share the results with the parish. Watch for announcements of a parish-wide meeting in the next few weeks.  We appreciate your patience and your participation in the survey. We ask your prayers as we move into this next phase of the search.

Summer Camp Dates - Scholarship Information
Here's the 2013 summer camp schedule at Honey Creek: 
  
June 16-22      High School (completed grades 9-12, 
                          not started college); 
June 23-29      St. Joseph and Mary I (completed grades 3-5); 
July 7-13         St. Peter (completed grades 6-8); 
July 14-20       St. Joseph and Mary II (completed grades 3-5); 
July 21-27       St. Peter II (completed grades 6-8); 
Cost per session: $420
 
If you are interested in donating funds to help summer campers with the cost of a camp session, please contact the Rev. Tar Drazdowski by May 15th. Campers who might need scholarship assistance should also contact Tar+ by May 15th, and she will then proceed to match the donations with the needs of campers.

A big Thank You is extended to Norma Barnidge and David Schert for painting and remodeling the kitchen in the office building. Norma and her team did a fabulous job sprucing up the kitchen. Norma hooked us up with some updated appliances. If you have a chance stop by and view the new space.
Ascension Day Service
