New Resource!
Greetings!

In an effort to streamline communication, we're starting a new monthly newsletter! Inside you'll find FLiP events, volunteer opportunities, and other news that will help you plan for the month ahead.

If you have anything that you would like to share in the FLiP newsletter, just send us an email and we'll work to get it out in the next month's issue. As always, feel free to contact us with any questions or comments regarding FLiP and we'll find the answer!

Sincerely,

September Membership Meeting
Our last membership meeting was September 25th at 4:00pm at the United Way office. We were blessed to have Bart Brown the Executive Director at Ozarks Food Harvest speak about the Weekend Backpack program. Last year, FLiP gave $64,000 to the program that helped serve over 1,000 kids with nutritious food over the weekend.

Raylene Appleby gave an update on FLiP's fundraising efforts. She reported that in the 2012 fiscal year, FLiP raised over $111,000! That's well over our $102,000 goal set last year! Thank you all for helping make FLiP so successful.

Raylene also thanked Dr. Nancy O'Reilly for helping keep the Suit Yourself Boutique in it's new permanent home. The building that Suit Yourself is in was purchased by Dr. Nancy's foundation - Women Connect4Good. Thank you Nancy!

Raylene also gave a big thank you to Julie Reynolds for all of her hard work at the Boutique, and we all wish Julie luck in the next few months as she takes some time to focus her efforts elsewhere. We'll miss you, and thank you Julie!

Cindy Norman updated the group on the success of this year's Evening in Paris. With your help, we raised over $20,800 for FLiP programs! It was a great evening, and a huge success. Many thanks to Cindy Norman, Candy Letterman and the entire special events committee for such a wonderful evening, and for helping us reach our fundraising goals.

Cindy Norman honored a few of the sponsors for 2012's evening in Paris. This year's Sponsors were: Arvest Bank and the Dr. Nancy O'Reilly Foundation at the Emerald sponsorship level; Penmac Staffing and PJC Insurance at the Ruby sponsorship level, Karen Krittenbrink and the Mercy Foundation for Health at the Sapphire sponsorship level; and Associated Electric Cooperative, Elliott-
Robinson, and Empire Bank at the Pearl sponsorship level. Thank you!

Hammons Field
Proceeds will benefit FLiP!

At our September membership meeting, Dr. Nancy O'Reilly asked that we all consider joining in the Mercy Sunshine run this year. It's a 1 mile, 5k or 10k run/walk benefiting the Mercy Burn Center, Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, Springfield Public Schools, and many more! But most importantly, a portion of the proceeds will go right back to us! So head out there, burn off some calories, and help support the community!
