CMC Open House Hours
This year, the Campus Ministry Center (CMC) at 5134 Forest is open every Monday-Thursday that school is in session from 6pm-10pm. While CLCs and other groups use the upstairs, the first floor is open for students to stop by to study, socialize, etc. Know that you are welcome to stop by and make yourselves at home!

Leftovers with Love
Volunteers Needed for Leftovers With Love!
Each week, Rockhurst University donates its leftover cafeteria food to St. James Place, a nearby social service agency that assists people from our neighborhood in many ways, including nightly free meals.  As a Leftovers with Love volunteer, you would:
  • Transport food from the RU cafeteria to St. James Place on a KC city bus
  • Eat dinner at St. James Place with their guests
  • Engage in a short prayer and reflection
Volunteers serve on Tuesdays from 4 to 6pm, and can sign up individually or in groups of 3 or smaller.  Service hours will be credited to your transcript. Email August Thacker or Maggie Cain to sign up!
 
March for Life
The March for Life in Washington, DC is January 22, 2016. If you are interested in joining Rockhurst's delegation, please contact Julia Mangan.

A Prayer
Patient Trust

Above all, trust in the slow work of God.
We are quite naturally impatient in everything
to reach the end without delay.
We should like to skip the intermediate stages.
We are impatient of being on the way to something
unknown, something new.
And yet it is the law of all progress
that it is made by passing through
some stages of instability-
and that it may take a very long time.
And so I think it is with you;
your ideas mature gradually-let them grow,
let them shape themselves, without undue haste.
Don't try to force them on,
as though you could be today what time
(that is to say, grace and circumstances
acting on your own good will)
will make of you tomorrow.
Only God could say what this new spirit
gradually forming within you will be.
Give Our Lord the benefit of believing
that his hand is leading you,
and accept the anxiety of feeling yourself
in suspense and incomplete.
