Last Call: Water for Duchity Bottles

Don't forget to turn in your filled water bottles to Campus Ministry.  Please do so this week!

Or, if you forgot to fill your water bottle but would like to contribute to Water for Duchity's efforts to purchase $35 Filter Pure water filters for families, you may simply drop off a donation.

In the News . . .

Did you see the National Catholic Reporters' article on Rockhurst's Social Justice Week?  If not, check it out.  Congrats to the students who worked to make the event so successful!

Also, in our national headlines this week, there were a number of tradgedies.  Please keep the people of Boston, the people of West, Texas and all who are suffering in your prayers.

A Reminder: CLC Leaders

Don't forget to contact Bill and let him know the details of your CLC's service this semester.

Question of the Week

question mark

This Week's Question:   When is the Orthodox Easter this year?

Last Week's Answer:  Yom HaShoah is Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Send your answer to Cindy Schmersal by 9:00am on Wednesday.  Of those students who respond, one will be chosen at random to receive a free (and delicious!) twister from the Pub.  The winner will be announced in the following week's bulletin.

Last week's winner is . . .  Kim Patterson!
An Earth Day Prayer

O GOD,
we thank you for this earth, our home; for the wide sky and the blessed sun, for the ocean and streams, for the towering hills and the whispering wind, for the trees and green grass.

We thank you for our senses by which we hear the songs of birds, and see the splendor of fields of golden wheat, and taste autumn's fruit, and rejoice in the feel of snow, and smell the breath of spring flowers.

GRANT US a heart opened wide to all this beauty; and save us from being so blind that we pass unseeing when even the common thornbush is aflame with your glory.

AMEN.
