Design Basics - FLEXIBLE LIVING

Part 3 in an 8 part series

1. Pocket Office.

Taking just 51 square feet, the Windsor Cottage’s pocket office is ideal for finishing up a couple hours’ worth of work at home. Privacy is afforded by the pocket door, and with generous workspace, storage and natural light, the pocket office solution is finding widespread appeal!

2. Garage to Finished Space.

In a home merely 41’-wide, a 3-car garage is an almost unheard of luxury. Yet some buyers would prefer a main floor in-law/guest suite. Such floor plan options increase the marketability of your homes!

3. Flex rooms.

Many home buyers “see” a space only as it is called out on a floor plan. In the Windsor Cottage, the main floor flex space can easily be a formal dining area, music room, parlor or den. Assigning it one of those room labels would narrow down its perceived uses. The term “flex room” gives prospective buyers permission to envision that space in their own best interests.
