Direct inquiries from AAA offices,  visitors planning their trips domestically and those outside the US request our packets and guide.  This guide is also downloadable from our website, Mendocinocoast.com,  and is distributed to the 10,000 visitors that walk through our door.

The Third Annual Soup and Chili cook off to benefit the Fort Bragg Food Bank will be held on Saturday October 18, 5-7:30pm at Pentecost Hall on Stewart St. There will be a mouth watering selection of soups and chilis. You get to vote for your favorite in given categories . There will be a silent auction and no host bar. Cost for tasting is. $20, $10 if you are under 12.. Safe Passage is organizing a Pajama Party this month! 

"Young children and their parents will enjoy an evening at Safe Passage on Wednesday, October 22 from 6:30 - 7:30. Free pajamas and books for the kids, and a spirited demonstration of reading aloud from Linda Pack, local star of stage and radio, plus helpful hints from Jade Aldrich about the importance of bedtime routines. Thanks to the Mendocino Coast Children's Fund for providing 60 pairs of pajamas in assorted sizes  (4 - 8), as well as sleeping bags for families in need. Each child will leave with a healthy bedtime snack. Each parent will learn about the importance and enjoyment of reading aloud every day with their children. "

9th Annual Wine, Mushroom and Ale Festival.

 

Mushroom Soup Cook-off Set.  Mendocino Hotel / Hill House Chef Robert Roach, received the grand prize for best mushroom soup at last year's Mushroom, Wine and Ale Fest from event coordinator John Innes. Despite Robert's past success -- he has won four of the past five years -- top local chefs from Brewery Gulch Inn, Albion River Inn, MacCallum House, Heritage House and Cafe Beaujolais won't be deterred, competing for best soup honors on Saturday, Nov. 8, during the 9th Annual Mushroom, Wine and Ale Festival at St. Anthony's Parish Hall, 10600 Lansing St., in Mendocino.
