Remembering Sister Francisca Cuna |
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Nov. 24 for Sister Francisca Cuna, who died unexpectedly at the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Motherhouse.
As one of 12 siblings and a member of our small Community, Sr. Francisca deeply touched the lives of all those who knew and loved her.
Her gentle and caring heart made her a wonderful and treasured caregiver.

In memory and honor of Sister Hugh |
On the walls of St. Mary's Catholic School in Spokane, a wall plaque honors those who have demonstrated faith, knowledge and community.
That plaque now features the name of Sister Mary Hugh Copenhaver, SSMO.

Advent Retreat 2014

While we often think of Advent as the commemoration of the coming of Jesus, Advent is also a time to focus on the second coming of Jesus which will happen in one of two ways: at the end of all time or at the end of an individual's time on earth. Saint of the Month: Our Lady of Guadalupe
|
In 1531, a "Lady from Heaven" appeared to Saint Juan Diego, a poor Indian from Tepeyac, a hill northwest of Mexico City.
She identified herself as the mother of Jesus and instructed him to have the bishop build a church on the site.
