We are so excited to be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week May 2nd-6th, with the theme "How Sweet It Is to be Taught By You!" To show our gratitude, the Hospitality Committee has organized many fun and special events for our incredible faculty! Here is the schedule, with action items for parents in BLUE:

MONDAY: Hunt Country Store will provide our faculty with a delicious homemade lunch.

TUESDAY: Staff will have a chance to order a refreshing smoothie curbside from Smojo and grab a homemade muffin prepared by the Hospitality Committee. Students with the LAST NAMES A-L are asked to bring in a small token of appreciation (e.g. a note, picture, or small gift) for their core teacher and assigned "Specials" Teacher (click here for the list of assignments).

WEDNESDAY: Our neighbors from Shady Lane Family Farm are providing our teachers and staff with a take-home goodie bag filled with fresh produce and baked goods.

THURSDAY: Students with the LAST NAMES M-Z are asked to bring in a small token of appreciation (e.g. a note, picture, or small gift) for their core teacher and assigned "Specials" Teacher (click here for the list of assignments).

FRIDAY: Morsel Compass Food Truck returns this year for our FINALE LUNCH in the courtyard behind the school from 12:00PM-1:00PM! Students will enjoy their own lunch during this hour as well while being supervised by parent volunteers. A new lunch schedule will be established on this day allowing students to visit the cafeteria to buy lunch if they choose.

Thanks to outstanding participation from the MLS community, it has been a fabulous fundraising year for the PTO! In May and June, the board will plan for year-end expenditures, set budget goals for next year, and work with Dr. Irani to identify funding priorities for next year's Annual Fund. We welcome your ideas and proposals. Your suggestions will be included in our prioritization and review process.
Click here for a copy of the "Parent Funding Suggestion Form" to share your ideas. Please be sure to complete each section as thoroughly as possible so that we may fully consider your request, and submit your form by Wednesday, May 4th. Thank you once again for your enthusiasm and support!
