All students are invited to participate in the Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Bring in your pumpkins beginning October 12. Voting will take place on Friday, October 16 during the Fun Fair. Click here for contest details, and get busy on your designs!

  • PTO Board Meeting: October 26, 6:30-8 pm, MLS Library. All are welcome!

mlspto.org Highlights for the Week

Have you been holding off on registering for the Fall II session of Enrichment Zone? There's still room in many classes, including Marvelous Mondays with Mr. Williams, Chess & Checkers, Awesome Origami, Board Games, Indoor Soccer, and more. The Fall II session runs for 5 weeks from October 26 through December 11. Online registration will reopen October 15-19. Click here for full EZone details and a list of courses with availability.


  • Special Education Advisory Committee: The SEAC provides advice concerning the needs of children with disabilities receiving special education services, and assists in the formulation and development of long-range plans for these children. The next meeting takes place on October 13; all are welcome. For more information, click here.
     
  • Volleyball for Girls: The Charlottesville Area Volleyball club offers a developmental team for girls ages 8-11. Tryouts for this team are October 11. Click here for more details. No experience necessary.
