Fall Fun Fair 2014: Carnival!

Kids Night Out
|  The first Kid's Night Out event of the school year is Friday 9/26. Mark your calendars for 6 fun Kids Night Out events this school year! DATES: September 26, 2014 November 21, 2014 December 12, 2014 February 20, 2015 March 20, 2015 (extended hours for silent auction) May 29th 2015 ABOUT KIDS NIGHT OUT: Kids Night Out is a fun night of indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) activities organized by our beloved MLS Teachers. For a reasonable fee, kids have loads of fun being active and engaged with their friends and then things wind down with a movie in the gym. Kids are encouraged to bring sleeping bags, pillows and PJs if they want to get cozy. IMPORTANT: Please feed your child dinner at home and pack a drink and a snack for the evening. Parents must sign in and sign out their child. HOW TO SIGN UP: There are two ways to sign up: 1. Download and print the KNO Registration Form and Return the completed form and payment via b/p mail to ATTN: Kids Night Out 2. Complete the paper form you received in b/p mail. |  We understand that there is a wait list for EDEP after school care. MLS Parent Martha Perkins is looking into alternate options, such as ACAC, which could provide transportation from MLS if enough children enroll. If you are interested in pursuing this option, please contact Martha at MEH6R@hscmail.mcc.virginia.edu or 434-996-3202. (Please note: MLS and the PTO are not endorsing or coordinating this program; we are merely hoping to connect parents who are searching for after-school care.) |
| Sportswear Orders Due: Friday, Sept. 12th | 
Didn't have a chance to order your MLS gear at the open house? There's still time! Please look for a form in backpack mail and return to school with payment in an envelope marked "PTO Sportswear." Checks should be made payable to MLS PTO. This our only sportswear order of the year, so don't miss out! Contact Amanda Callaghan with questions.

Albemarle County Special-Needs-Kids Parents' Group
A Brownsville parent has created a forum for parents/caregivers of special-needs students in ACPS, in order to share resources, support each other, keep informed about county initiatives, and towork together to better advocate for special-needs children. Girls Geek Days Open House
Crozet Elementary
Tuesday, Sept. 23rd

The mission of Girls' Geek Days is to spark elementary school-aged girl's interest in technology and computing by providing a fun, collaborative, hands-on environment to learn new tech skills and helping them connect to other STEM programs in the community.
