Kids Night Out - March 21st Extended Hours

Next Kids Night Out is March 21st!

Special extended hours for the Silent Auction.

Doors open at 6pm and pickup is at 10:30pm sharp. Kids should eat dinner at home and pack a snack, water bottle, PJs and sleeping back to get cozy for the movie. Questions? email the KNO event chair. Register and pay online.

Inclement Weather Make-up Days

As planned, the School Board agreed at its March 13 meeting to add school days to the end of the calendar to make up for instructional time lost due to inclement weather school closings. The school year is now due to end on Friday, June 13th. The division is considering applying for a waiver from the state Department of Education but approval of such a waiver by the state is far from automatic. If granted, the school year would end on June 11th not the 13th and we will make the necessary notifications as soon as possible

PTO Seeking Volunteers for 2014-15

PTO Recruitment Season is underway! We are in search of parent volunteers to serve in a variety of event-planning, organizational, and school-support roles for the 2014-15 school year.

Can you organize the talent show? Do you want to help plan the fun fair or the silent auction?

Would you like to help with teacher appreciation events? Can you help with MLS landscaping or the PTO website? There are roles large and small, shared and independent, creative and detail-oriented. To find the perfect volunteer role to suit your interests and availability, please contact Laurel Geis at laurelgeis@mac.com or Holly Stancil at hmstancil@hotmail.com.

Volunteering with the PTO is a great way to meet other parents and give back to MLS (plus your kids will think it's cool)!

3rd Grade Show: Five of Aesop's beloved fables come to life with scripts and catchy songs!

Tuesday, April 29th 9:00am and 6:30pm -

"Small Part of the World"

4th and 5th grades are busy working toward their combined-grade Spring show. The show will feature a variety of music from around the world!
