Spring EZone Registration Now Open

Sign-up online now at Spring 2014 EZ Registration for your favorite EZ courses and for PrE-Zone! Visit the Enrichment Zone page at mlspto.org for the complete spring schedule, course descriptions, and additional registration details. BIG NEWS: You can now register and pay online using a credit card or your PayPal account!

 

Spring Session I registration closes Monday, January 27th, and courses begin Monday, February 3rd. Courses fill quickly, so register today!

Box Tops - Let the Collecting Begin!

BOX TOPS

 The MLS PTO BOX TOPS classroom contest has officially begun!  The class collecting the most Box Tops will be rewarded with a special prize and all Box Tops turned in will help earn money for our school!  Box Tops can be placed in the white bin in the MLS front hallway.  Please don't forget to label the Ziploc bag or envelope with your child's name, grade and classroom teacher.  For those of you who are counting the Box Tops before you turn them in, it would be extremely helpful if you group them in small Ziploc bags of 50 each (with Bonus Box Tops grouped separately from regular Box Tops).  Any questions please contact Brooke Reid at

Volunteer of the Month
Volunteer

Each year at the Kid's Market, the children can choose to donate some of their earnings to a couple of local charitable organizations (this year it was the SPCA and UVA Children's Hospital).  In recognition of the time and effort Catherine McGahren has put in to establish and organize the charity side of the Kid's Market over the last 4 years and her involvement in other PTO events, the PTO Board would like to recognize Catherine as the December 2013 Volunteer of the Month.     

  

Take a look at the notice board by the main entrance of the school to find out more about Catherine and our previous Volunteers of the Month.   

3rd - 5th Grade Health Fair

The 3rd-5th grade health fair will run from 8:15-10:30 on Friday, January 17.  We are in need of volunteers to help lead our various stations.  If you are able and willing to volunteer for all or part of the day, it would be greatly appreciated! Please contact Scott Williams at swilliams@k12albemarle.org if you can help.

Bingo Night - Donate Prizes!

We are collecting prizes for Bingo Night.  If you want to donate, please drop off prizes in the boxes in the front lobby.  

 

This is a good opportunity to re-gift any unwanted presents your family may receive during the holidays!
