A message from the administration

Improving Dismissal at Cherry

First, we would like to thank parents for their constructive feedback and suggestions as we work the kinks out of the car rider dismissal at Cherry. We recognize that it has not been a perfect solution as parents have had extended waiting times in the car line and there have been traffic back-ups on Armour.

With that in mind, we have created a committee consisting of parents, teachers and administrators to review the dismissal process and make recommendations for improvement. Please stay tuned as announcements of improvements will be made on Monday.

Sincerely,

Elimane Mbengue and Heather Royce

Tie Dye Week at Cherry Coming Up

Dear parents and guardians, please send your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grader with a white t-shirt for tie dying next week. Old, stained shirts are the best for tie dying, as new shirts don't soak up the dye as easily (but still work). If you send a new shirt to school, please try washing it beforehand. Each shirt should have the child's name on the tag and be given to the homeroom teacher. If you would like to donate any old shirts for students that don't bring them, it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Mme. Talley
