Volunteers Make a Difference

Dear Acadmie Lafayette Parents,

On Thursday I had the priviledge of meeting a group of our grandmothers Gloria, Vicki and Alice who gave many hours of their time to help the Development Office prepare and mail year-end tax letters.

These personalized letters are very important for donors, but with almost 500 letters to mail this takes a lot of time. Thanks to Gloria Murphy, Vicki Riffle, Alice Lund and (not pictured) Judy Burge, these letters were finished in record time.

The volume of letters this year also reminds me of the generosity of our parents and grandparents.  Not only do you give time, but you also give money to our Annual Fund and to our Capital Campaign.  Without these financial gifts we could not provide the education and services that we want for all of our children.

Thank you Gloria, Vicki, Alice and Judy -- and all of our wonderful community. Have a good weekend.

Important Amazon Update!

We received notice that Simple Fundraiser, the administrator of the fundraising program through Amazon, updated their program resulting in a new link for our Amazon fundraiser! Please delete the original link and use http://amzn.to/1BKBztB.

Additionally, they have agreed to donating 5% of each purchase made rather that 1-6% as originally offered. Please pass it on to friends, coworkers and family and ask them to update to the new link.

Thank you to everyone who has been using the AL Amazon link when making purchases on Amazon. We have raised over $500 in November and December and over $40 in January! It is so easy, isn't it?! Please remember that this is an ongoing fundraising opportunity and 5% of each purchase is donated to the AL General Fund. Please contact Alise with any questions at [email protected]. The website for Simple Fundraiser is http://simplefundraiser.net

Turn in your money and rogue ALFrance15 Cards
A big thank you to everyone who has participated in selling the ALFrance15card! Prizes are coming! We have detailed spreadsheets so that we know exactly who received cards and either turned in sales or returned their cards.

Please turn in your UNSOLD CARDS, DO the BUYOUT or SELL THEM! Be sure to label the return envelope with your students' names - this is crucial. It is time to turn them in or we will be spending precious extra time and resources to get them all either paid for or turned in. If we don't have money or cards from YOU we will be seeking them out.

Big thanks again to all of you VISIONARIES who see the discount card  as a fabulous way to create your future clientele for this immensely profitable and popular fundraiser that offset costs for the France trip. BISOUS to the Restaurant and Business Participating Sponsors of the ALFrance15 discount card who embraced the school and helped us so much with our mutual continued success.
