Invitation to Business Roundtable in Tashkent: March 24, 2016
January 22, 2016

American companies interested in discussing trade and investment issues in Uzbekistan are invited to participate in a government-business roundtable in Tashkent on Thursday, March 24.  The special industry focus of this roundtable is medical technology and pharmaceuticals, so companies interested in exploring opportunities in these fields are especially encouraged to attend.
The Government of Uzbekistan has stated that it is open to interacting with interested businesses from all sectors. Tentatively, the roundtable will consist of formal presentations from U.S. and Uzbek government and private sector speakers; an open forum; a working lunch; an opportunity for visiting businesses to interact with each other and with local Uzbek companies interested in exploring new business opportunities; and an evening dinner or reception. Also, the Government of Uzbekistan has committed to arranging one-on-one meetings between visiting American businesses and relevant government individuals and entities. These would take place on the days either before or after the roundtable.
