 Investment Opportunities for US Companies in the Uzbek Oil and Gas Sector 

NOTE: The following synopsis of commercial opportunities in the oil and gas sector have been presented to the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce by the Uzbek Embassy in Washington, DC.  

 

All projects require Foreign Direct Investments or commercial credits.  Implementation of these projects will be conducted without the Uzbek Government-issued sovereign guarantees. Production Sharing Agreements (PSA) will be signed with US companies interested in the oil and gas exploration.

Oil and gas sector projects offered in Uzbekistan for foreign investors

  1. "Alan" oil and gas field redevelopment with the construction of booster compressor station. Project cost - $178.3 million. Implementation period - 2013-2014.
  2. "Berdah" oil and gas field redevelopment with the construction of booster compressor station. Project cost - $192.9 million. Implementation period - 2013-2014.
  3. "Yuzhniy Tandircha" oil and gas field redevelopment with the construction of booster compressor station. Project cost - $75 million. Implementation period - 2013-2014.
  4. "Severniy Nishan" oil and gas field redevelopment with the construction of booster compressor station. Project cost - $110 million. Implementation period - 2013-2014.
  5. Exploration works on oil and gas blocks (Khorezm and Meshekli-Tuzkoy investment blocks). Project cost - $200 million. Implementation period - 2013-2015.
  6. Organization of production of raw materials for synthetic fibers in Kashkadarya region. Project cost - $400 million. Implementation period - 2013-2016.
  7. Organization of production of plastic products in FIEZ "Navoi". Project cost - $10 million. Implementation period - 2013-2014.
  8. Organization of production of polyurethane products based on "Karshitermoplast" production company. Project cost - $8 million. Implementation period - 2013.
  9. Radial drilling method implementation. Project cost - $30 million. Implementation period - 2013-2014.
