A New Year, New Excitement |
It's an exciting new year at Bridgepoint Consulting! Despite some of the economic challenges around the world, we are optimistic and happy to be working in Texas. The Perryman Group's latest forecast presented on January 25 calls for Texas to continue to outperform the nation. In addition, the report concludes that while the Austin metro area is experiencing spotty growth, it is expected to remain one of the strongest performing areas in the nation in the coming years.
At Bridgepoint, our business enjoyed strong growth in 2011 with revenues up 35% over 2010. We continue to consistently pick up great new clients across our consulting practices ranging from large companies like AMD to early-stage companies including TabbedOut, Flash-Valet and GameSalad. We are also working with mid-sized companies like Forestar Real Estate Group and Durcon.
One of the most positive market indicators is that many of our clients are experiencing solid growth in their businesses. Several of our clients saw over 100% growth in 2011 and believe the momentum will continue in 2012! While others are not experiencing this hyper-growth, the majority are seeing the needle moving up and to the right. As a result we are assisting many clients with new IT systems to handle their growing technology needs. These companies include Xtreme Power, SailPoint, All Web Leads and Jones Energy, to name a few.

I recently had a CEO client tell me that his Bridgepoint consultant suggested only coming to their office one day each week, rather than the two days we had proposed. He was astounded that a consultant actually suggested doing the same work in less time than was initially scoped. I told him I wasn't surprised at her suggestion, as we truly want to do what's best for our clients.
At Bridgepoint, Integrity means more than being honest. We are committed to deliver a level of quality characterized by honesty, reliability, and fairness, developed in a relationship over time. While we hire the best and brightest, integrity is the foundation of our service delivery.
We engrain the concept in our staff that the first consideration with every decision should be "What is best for our clients, and how do we help them grow their businesses in the most efficient manner?" In some cases, this results in less work for us because we may suggest that a client hire permanent staff instead of using our team. I believe this demonstrates our pragmatic approach in which we want to do what makes the most sense under the circumstances.
As noted in Warren Buffett's quote above, without integrity, nothing else matters. Therefore we focus on this core value first and foremost. |

Congrats to the BPC team for a third place finish in the Make-a-Wish Golf Classic! Players included Bob Smith and Vince Trevino, along with Dan Degan from Planview and Todd Wehner from Jones Energy.
BPC employees  are proud to support multiple charitable organizations. At our December Holiday Party, we collected a truckload of toys for Operation Brown Santa. In addition, we were proud supporters of the 2011 United Way campaign, more than doubling our efforts from the previous year. |

Meet Our Newest Team Members
 As Director of Governance Risk Management & Compliance practice, David Roe brings 25 years of experience to Bridgepoint and its clients. David has provided finance and accounting management, internal audit, and risk assessment and management with Fortune 100 and emerging companies. Most recently, David has been an Executive Director with Ernst & Young. With EY, David led projects at Fortune 100 and emerging companies with Internal Audit outsourcing; SOX compliance; process and control definition and redesign; and business improvements.
 Gina Budd is Bridgepoint Consulting's new Director of Marketing. She has 18+ years of in-depth experience in marketing and public relations. Gina is responsible for all marketing strategies, including branding; communications; new market initiatives; and social and online media. She has provided numerous companies with marketing and communications strategies, including small businesses, healthcare organizations, and publicly-traded companies. Her past experience at Ernst & Young, coupled with her corporate and agency experience, will enable her to contribute progressive marketing programs to Bridgepoint.
