Santa was one of many visitors to the Holiday Gift Faire December 5 and 6 at the Gulf Road community center, featuring dozens of vendors, a raffle, music, craft demonstrations and lunch courtesy of the seniors' association.

Bring holiday cheer to your front door while supporting Point Roberts Circle of Care. The group will custom design a swag and deliver it next week in exchange for a donation to Circle of Care (suggested donation $20).

Christmas decoration 
sale benefits tower coalition

Thanks to a large donation of Christmas decorations, Auntie Pam's Country Store is holding a fundraising sale to raise funds to pay off the legal bills from the fight to stop a radio tower farm being built on the Point.

DelBene introduces LGBT Day legislation

A Washington state congresswoman is spearheading a U.S. House of Representatives resolution to designate a day for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) rights.

Point Roberts Primary Winter Performance: Wednesday, December 16, 6 p.m., community center. "Finding the Point," a brief history of early Point Roberts. Silent auction, basket raffle, treats and a visit from Santa. 

Trinity Community Choir Christmas Concert: Friday, December 18, 7:30 p.m., Trinity Community Lutheran Church, 1880 APA Road. A variety of traditional, modern, sacred and popular Christmas songs with featured soloists, instrumentalists and sing-alongs. Dessert reception to follow. 

Ray Kirkham and Edward Norman Perform: Sunday, December 20, 7 p.m., Trinity Community Lutheran Church, 1880 APA Road. Performing the music of Puccini, Bach, Purcell, Charpentier, Handel and more. Proceeds benefit the new library building fund.
