Food bank donations stolen from fire station

The Point Roberts Firefighters' Association raised almost $1,000 for the food bank during their recent "boot drive," but local families won't benefit from the community's generosity after a thief stole the money.

The Point Roberts Primary School Winter Program on December 10 was titled "The Chat," a variety show focusing on the power of punctuation. The mix of songs, poetry and skits was performed by the school's 18 kindergarten through third graders, and was followed by lots of treats and a visit from Santa.

Point Roberts Community Choir Christmas Concert: Saturday, December 20, 7 p.m., Trinity Community Lutheran Church, 1880 APA Road. A concert of classic and modern music with a reception to follow. Handmade quilt up for raffle. Tickets $5 each or three for $10. Proceeds benefit the children's music camp. Info: 945-7105.
