Friends of the Point Roberts Library 
reaches out to charitable foundations


The Friends of the Point Roberts Library (FOPRL) group received a $25,000 grant from the Seattle-based Norcliffe Foundation this week to support the renovation of the Julius Firehall into a new library space.

CPR Class: Monday, September 8, 6-10 p.m., fire hall, 2030 Benson Road. Learn adult, child and infant CPR, choking assistance and AED use. Class is free, and the certification card is $5. Info: [email protected].

Fight the Towers Legal Fund Benefit Concert: Sunday, September 21, 1-5 p.m., Seabright Farms. Benefit picnic and concert. Hot dogs and hamburgers provided, beer and wine on sale.
