Quilt show benefits new library

The Friends of the Point Roberts Library (FOPRL) is presenting a quilt show and sale of the work of Judy Ross, with all proceeds going to the new library building project.

On Saturday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Ross's quilts will be shown in the exhibit "Forty Years of Quilts, Seventy Years of Quilting." Admission is by donation. Ross will be showing quilts she has made over the past 40 years, and will offer a walking tour of her work at 2 p.m.

Many of Ross' quilts will be for sale. The event will also include the drawing of the winning ticket for the "Boat Quilt," made by the Point Roberts Quilt Group. Tickets for the raffle quilt will be on sale for $5 at the quilt show.
