Hearing set for radio towers

 

Whatcom County has set the date for the proposed radio tower array at the corner of Tyee Drive and Mackenzie Way to be brought before the county hearing examiner.

CBP advises early travel for B.C. Day weekend

 

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is reminding travelers planning trips across the border this holiday weekend into the United States to plan ahead and to anticipate increased traffic volumes during the celebration of British Columbia's B.C. Day holiday weekend. Border traffic volumes are expected to peak during this period.

CBP hiring 2,000 new employees nationwide

 

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be adding an additional 2,000 officer positions to their land, air and seaports around the country. Using funds granted for the 2014 fiscal year, the CBP is looking to hire employees to help with security and facilitate shorter waits for people crossing the border.
