Kids enjoy robot day at the library

Sophia (left) and Amanda (right) were two of dozens of kids who came to the Point Roberts community center July 5 for the Whatcom County Library System's series of summer fun and learning, every Saturday in July from 11 a.m. to noon. It was robot day, and participants got to draw and paint and even learn to move like robots!

Vacancy on PRCAC


The Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee has an open seat available to interested community members. The committee member will be appointed by Whatcom County Executive Jack Louws, and anyone interested in applying can fill out the form and send it to Louws' office.

Firefighters raise funds for scholars

  

Dollars for Scholars scholarship recipient Kaylen Hebert helps bring in the business for the volunteer firefighters association's carwash benefit, which raised funds for Dollars for Scholars. The July 5 event was one of several planned for the summer.
