Primary school 
students get involved in fire safety
  
 
Point Roberts fire equipment is sporting artwork created by students at Point Roberts Primary School.
 
The fire department sponsored a coloring contest at the school, asking the kids to draw a picture of how emergency services help people. Eight winners were chosen, and removable decals of the pictures have been placed on the fire engine, the ambulance and the command vehicle.

Little Free Library comes to Maple Beach

A new Little Free Library will be unveiled at Maple Beach this weekend, joining more than 15,000 of the community book exchanges around the world.
