A sizeable crowd turned out for the October 9 candidates' night sponsored by the Point Roberts Registered Voters Association at the Gulf Road community center.

Six candidates for Whatcom County Council and three candidates for the local fire district commission stumped for the local vote. Representatives from both the pro and con committees on the ballot proposition to allow the parks district to borrow $250,000 to fix the community center also spoke.

Read about the candidates' views on everything from jobs to the environment in the November All Point Bulletin.
